Sing your heart's words

Tell me your heart
Tell me what’s true to your heart
Whisper, shout, scream your heart out
Speak, don’t hide
Speak, don’t snide
Fill the cup with words of truth
Make the lives run with smiles, no coup
Know, urge, coax, learn, fly....don’t lie
Cry, dance, binge, prance
Tell what you hear your heart quiver
Sing the song you heard always
Make the romance breathe always
We will be Forever and Always
God almighty wish, bless, bring us to light
Always.

Here is a short story i read long ago as a kid in a daily. I wanna share it with all of you. It is, as I remember.

Since childhood, Ravi was very interested in sports. He would play cricket, basket ball and his favorite, soccer. He wasn't just interested but was also good at it. He would practice regularly and play for the school's soccer team. His father loved the game. When he was young he himself was a very good sportsman. Whenever there was a match, he would be there to support his son. His father would always give him tips, encourage him and support in whatever way possible.

As years, Ravi got more into the sport. His father continued to come for his matches. Over a period of time it became a habit for Ravi's dad and Ravi. Ravi was a good player but not the best. Dev, his classmate would always excel and turn the match around to lead to a win. Ravi and Dev continued to be good friends in spite of the tension during the matches. Ravi always worked hard to excel at his game.

One day, Ravi failed to come to a match not did he send a message. This surprised his friends and coach since Ravi was not a kid who would miss even a single day. This continued for a week and Ravi showed up for the finals the week after. Everyone came up to him and asked on why he missed a week but Ravi remain calm and silent. His father was not in the audience today.

The match started with a huge pomp! The whole school was there to witness the very best on the field. The opposing team was the reigning champion and it was upon Dev, Ravi and his teammates to bring victory to their school. As the match started everyone was surprised to see Ravi play like never before. He was sharp, scored the first goal even and maintained a steady focus. His teachers were in awe. As the game progressed he did better and better and even left Dev far behind. He displayed grit and gave his best ever. They won! Everyone including Dev came to hug Ravi and the whole school rejoiced. Dev came up to him and congratulated him. His school mates asked him on how he did it! Ravi calmly said its because his father saw him play for the first time. This surprised his friends. They told him that how is that possible. Ravi's father would come every time he played and in fact today he was no where to be seen. Ravi said, "My father passed away last week. But he reminded me before he died that I should continue to play. Father was blind but now that he is with the God, he can finally see me. So I did my very best so that I could make my father proud. I am sure he is". There were tears in everyone eyes as they walked towards the trophy.
